Meet the Writers!

Hey hey hey!

Mark your calendars - All Work, No Play Take 5 will be on your screens at 8pm EDT on Wednesday, June 2! We have 4 new short zoom plays for you, and we can’t wait for you to meet the writers!

Brandon Cayetano (he/him) is an actor/writer based in Minneapolis, MN. After earning his BA in Theatre Arts from the University of Minnesota, he decided to pursue acting and has gone on to perform with many professional theatre companies around the Twin Cities. Once the pandemic hit, he decided to give writing a try, and has been loving it ever since. He is now a part of Invisible Disco Production's Writer's Collective and has been working on projects for both the stage and screen. When not in Theatre, you can find him cooking a nice homemade meal, working at his local credit union, crossing shows and movies off of his Netflix queue, or singing at the top of his lungs in the car. All Work No Play will be the first time anything he's written will be shared with the public, and he couldn't be more thrilled for you all to see it.

Gracie Rittenberg is an actor, writer, and director born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. After earning her BA in Theatre at Reed College, she spent a couple of years working in theatre in Portland. She moved back to New York to attend the Atlantic Acting Conservatory. With her classmates at Atlantic, she helped found Bluebird Theatre Company, where she currently serves as Literary Manager. She has produced evenings of one acts for Bluebird as well, and recently completed a full length genderbent adaptation of Hamlet. She loves absurdist theatre, arguing about nerdy things, and sending out pictures of her cat.

Lauren Montes just received her BFA in Drama from New York University. Born and raised in Altadena, California, she discovered her love of performing through not being as good at anything else, though she tried with 10 different sports, 4 different clubs, and pretty darn good grades if she says so herself. After moving to New York for school, Lauren honed her skills as an actor in class at the Atlantic Acting School and Experimental Theatre Wing. She is now Head Writer of Friends with Dads Variety Sketch group, a member of Pasadena Golf Improv, and has performed as a comic with of Women Stand Up. She has co-founded a production company, Invisible Disco Productions and co-wrote a one-woman show titled This Feeling which premiered at Frigid New York and was again recreated virtually for Queerly Festival. Since quarantine, she has also virtually acted in new play readings, directed a production of No Exit, and premiered multiple short pieces. Outside of entertainment, Lauren enjoys eating, sleeping, and exercising, and hopes to one day be a quadruple threat (actor, writer, director, comedienne).

Deniz Bulat is a Turkish artist based in New York City. She is pursuing her BFA in Drama at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, where she trained at Atlantic Theatre School and Stonestreet Studios, along with a BA in Politics. Her most recent projects include Stuipd F**king Bird (dir. Michael Leinbenluft) and Romeo and Juliet (dir. Axél Avin Jr.) Her artistry is motivated by her curiosity about bodies’ movement in space, womanhood, the concept of home, and people with complicated internal and external relationships. She is interested in multi-medium story-telling, international collaboration, and producing in a global setting. She hopes to focus on getting voices from different backgrounds all over the globe heard, and helping passionate artists’ ideas turn into productions on stage or through film.

We love these writers and the work they’re bringing to the table, and we are so excited for you all to join us on Wednesday!
