Hey there!

In this month’s installment of Patreon 101, we’re going to be talking about a benefit that $15+ patrons receive upon becoming part of our community: the opportunity to sit in on a podcast recording session!

If you’re a fan of Invisible Disco, hopefully you know about our podcast: Writer’s Block Party. If not, we’d love to have you as a listener! Each Friday, two of IDP’s co-founders (Amelia, Deniz, Lauren, and Thea) sit down (remotely, of course) with a guest who brings in a short piece of writing in a genre they specialize in. The piece is read aloud, and then the hosts start a dialogue with the guest about their writing style and process, things that motivate them, influences on their artistic endeavors, and what they do when they have writer’s block. It is always such a treat to hear what our colleagues are bringing to writer’s room tables across the world. With this podcast, we hope to demystify the process of creating art, and we would love for you to join us in pursuit of that goal! When you sign up at the $15+ level, you will receive an email designed to allow you a peek behind the curtain, as it were. We typically have 4-5 recording sessions per month, and we do what we can to accommodate your schedule so you can sit in on one! Not only will you be privy to the conversations that happen before and after the cameras roll, but you will also be allowed to bring in a question of your own to ask the weekly guest.
